Frequently Asked Questions

Questions we get a lot

Costs, venues, tickets, and what you're actually responsible for.

Getting started

Why should I fundraise with ZingerZ?
Most fundraisers get you started, then leave you to it. We stay with you the whole way. You get real support, and we check in weekly. We're teaching you how to run a good fundraiser while running one for you. Your supporters get a great night out too. That keeps your group top of mind, and they'll be waiting for next year.
What type of causes do you raise money for?
Almost anything: churches, schools, non-profits, youth sports. The only causes we avoid are politically motivated ones.
How much time will I need to prepare?
At least 3–4 weeks.

Cost & profit

What's the cost?
A $500 deposit holds your date. It also opens your Step-by-Step Fundraiser Guide and builds your ticket store and promo materials. After that, we split the first $2,000 raised 50/50. That's $1,000 to you and $1,000 to us. Once we hit that, you keep 100% of everything else. You're guaranteed at least 50% of all funds raised, whatever the total. Many groups reach 95%+. No-deposit option: call us for details. *Card processing on the online store is 5% + $0.75 per ticket. Add it at checkout and keep 100% of show sales, or cover it yourself.
Is a deposit required?
Yes. A $500 non-refundable deposit holds your date. It also opens your guide and builds your ticket store and promo materials. If you postpone, the deposit moves to your new date. No-deposit option: call us for details.

Your event

Where can we host this event?
Any big room with a stage, or space for one. A church, school auditorium, Elks Lodge, event studio, or dance hall all work. Restaurants and bars do not. Try to get the venue donated. We can help with that πŸ˜‰
Should we provide a meal at the event?
Mostly no. The focus of your event is to raise money, not feed people. Adding food increases the cost of the event, lowering the amount going to your cause. Only serve food if you can get it donated, and only if including it actually earns you more.
What are we responsible for?
Our step-by-step guide walks you through the entire process, including any responsibilities, in an easy-to-follow manner. And if you need additional help, we're just a quick phone call away.

Tickets & promotion

Will you help advertise or sell tickets?
You get plenty of support: sales coaching, a promotions guide, a Facebook event page, and a digital flyer. We can't sell the tickets for you, though. You know your community and we don't. But you'll have every tool for the job.
Are there physical tickets?
No. Physical tickets are going the way of the dodo. Your supporters receive virtual tickets via email once their order is complete.
