How We Get Paid

No money ever comes out of your budget

Our fee is paid from event proceeds only, and capped. If you take in mostly cash, you settle from what you're already holding. Either way, you never write us a check.

Step 1
The first $700 raised covers your workshops

It pays for your students' two 2-hour improv workshops. No deposit and nothing out of your budget.

Step 2
Then we split proceeds 70/30

Your program keeps 70%, until our max fee amount is reached.

Step 3
You keep 100% from there

Once the max fee is reached, every dollar is yours. That's up to 80% profit, or more.

"Non-Legalese" Agreement Breakdown

Our agreement, in plain English.

If you can't always follow legalese without a lawyer, you're not alone. So we broke down every section of our Theatre FUNdraiser Agreement into plain English. It isn't legally binding or legal advice, just a tool to help your team understand it.

We provide a turn-key process, an online storefront for all card transactions, our professional show co-starring your students, and two student workshops. Your school sells tickets, takes donations, finds sponsors and a venue, and follows our advice. Questions? Call (817) 609-1715.

Ways to raise, and the rules we follow

The fundraiser options in our agreement, plus the concerns schools ask us about most.

Silent auction (up to $1,000+). Items are donated and winning bids count as donations. Day-of sales are a one-day, tax-free sale, so no sales tax.
On-stage auction (up to $1,500+). Students offer a fun service; winning bids are taken as donations. Fine print protects students and the school.
Raffle (up to $1,000+). Only allowed through a state-recognized booster club, under its tax-exempt status.
Opt-out alternative (up to $1,500+). Students who don't want to fully participate can collect a small donation or sell two tickets instead.
Online platform. A trusted third-party vendor processes card payments. Money taken outside the storefront just needs to be documented.
Cancellation. Any small cancellation fees come from event proceeds, never your budget. We've never had to use it.

What is a clean comedy fundraiser?

A clean comedy fundraiser is a family-friendly live show event that throws everything but the kitchen sink into one night, raising as much money for your cause as possible in a variety of ways: tickets, sponsors, auctions, raffle, and more! We bring the show, the ticketing, and the playbook. You keep at least 50% of every dollar that comes through the door.

Answers

The stuff everyone asks

Will this ever come out of our school's budget?
No. There's no deposit and no minimum, and our fee is paid from event proceeds only, never from your program, school, district or booster account. If you take in more than 60% of proceeds in cash, you'd settle from the cash you're already holding.
Are you an approved vendor?
Yes. We're part of the CTPA & EPCNT co-ops, via vendor approval through Grand Prairie ISD.
Do we have to collect sales tax on auctions?
No. Under Texas Comptroller rules, schools can hold two one-day, tax-free sales or auctions each year. Silent and on-stage auction sales on the day of the event fall under this, so no sales tax is collected.
Who owns the event, and is it recorded?
It's your event; we provide event services. We record every show for promotion and protection, and post signage at the entrance. You're welcome to record it too, and we share recordings with each other for free.
